Going Home
Consider Mother, whose arms stretched forever. She cradled
the galaxy and when she sang, the stars listened. Mother lost her voice after
eating human meat. The stars faded away.
Consider Father, whose legs flexed forever. He crushed the
galaxy beneath his feet and put the pieces back together. Father lost his
mastery after becoming the monster. The darkness came.
Consider Sister, whose heart consecrated forever. Her
divinity could move the galaxy, awake the sun and summon the horizon. Sister
lost her charms after witnessing terror. The night stayed.
Consider Home, where bodies entangled forever. They created
their own galaxy and used the darkness for light. Home, lost in shadows,
unraveled into melodrama and mythology. Only a lightning rod remained.
