Montana Ray is a feminist writer and mother. Her writing appears in Lana Turner Journal, La Petite Zine, Asymptote Journal, Narrative Magazine, and el Paper, among others. She translated the early work of Spanish poet Francisca Aguirre for the book The Other Music: Selected Poems from the 1970s (Argos). Her gunpoetry appears in the chapbook (guns & butter), published by Dancing Girl Press. She was a finalist for the Yale Younger Poetry Series this year and co-hosts The Brooklyn Ladies Text-based Salon, which features the work of lady artists working with text in any medium, especially queer artists and women of color.
