Ben Lorber is a radical journalist and activist who has worked extensively in the U.S. with the migrant justice movement, and in the Middle East with the Palestinian struggle for self-determination. In 2011, he spent six months in Israel and Palestine with the International Solidarity Movement in the West Bank, and with the Israeli-Palestinian Alternative Information Center in Jerusalem. Throughout 2012, he has worked with the solidarity group No More Deaths in Tucson, Arizona, distributing food, water and medical aid to migrants crossing the harsh Arizona desert into the United States. His articles have appeared in electronic and print publications such as Critical Resistance, The Electronic Intifada, The Palestine Chronicle, MondoWeiss, Common Dreams, Green Left Weekly, and more. He has also spent time as a performing musician in Baltimore, Maryland, under the name Great Tap Root.
